Winter Morning Above the City

One of those unusual winter mornings when the city rooftops were covered in a thin layer of snow, turning concrete buildings into quiet white platforms above the busy streets below.

Up on one of these rooftops, Nina had decided it was the perfect place for a quick jog and some fresh air. Dressed for movement and warmth, she stepped carefully across the snowy surface, her black winter boots making soft crunching sounds with every step.

A Rooftop Not Built for Running

The rooftop, however, was not exactly designed for casual exercise. Pipes, cables, vents, and air conditioning units created a small obstacle course that required constant attention. Nina quickly realized this wasn’t just a jog it was part fitness routine, part balancing act, and part urban exploration mission.

At one point, she slowed down, carefully stepping over a set of cables stretched between two units like an improvised low hurdle. “Who designed this rooftop gym?” she muttered with a smile.

Despite the obstacles, she kept moving, weaving between satellite dishes and chimney vents like she had trained for rooftop parkour her entire life. The cold air made every breath feel sharp and refreshing.

A Sudden Shift Into Dance

Then, unexpectedly, Nina stopped.

A burst of music from her headphones must have hit the perfect moment, because she suddenly broke into light dance movements. A small spin here, a playful wave there her rooftop jog briefly transformed into a private winter dance floor above the city.

For a few seconds, everything felt cinematic: snowflakes drifting down, city noise far below, and Nina enjoying a moment of pure, slightly chaotic joy.

Back to Reality

Then, just as quickly, she returned to reality, stepped carefully over another cable, and continued her rooftop journey as if nothing had happened.

To any distant observer, it might have looked strange a winter jog interrupted by spontaneous rooftop dancing but to Nina, it was just another perfect day above the city.
